I’m 20 years old. Is it too late to live on campus to get my degree?

I wish I did it when I graduated out of high school!! I want to get my degree in journalism and broadcasting so I can become a television news reporter.

no, people might think you are a little odd, especially if you are a guy living on campus, but I would suggest renting an apartment nearby and going to school fulltime… then you also dont have to deal with all of the anoying things that most college students are going through at that time

Good heavens, no! I’m 25 and I live on campus. And what’s more, in my first semester of college I had a father and son living two rooms down from me. Talk about old! You’re fine, believe me.

No. I lived on campus at 25. I hated it and ended up getting an apartment after a year. People won’t think you’re odd either. I hated it because of all the incoming kids who just graduated from high school and we’re on their own for the first time. Lots and lots of drama when you’re trying to study for finals.
I had a single dorm room that I could retreat to while being able to interact with people when I wanted to. Very expensive though (at UCLA $15,000 a year). Maybe that’s a better option for older people in dorms. But you’re only 2 years older than the average age of incoming freshmen, so I don’t think you’ll have a problem.
Good luck, and I’m sure you’re well on your way to journalism.

Of course not. I started my college when I was 27 years old due to financial problems. Despite the situation I managed to finish a degree. Now I am a Certified Public Accountant. Never let your age be a hindrance of your morrows. Being 20 is still young and full of opportunities. Come on grab them and you will see yourself successful.
